High Fashion

I would just like to say that whenever I see a model walk down a runway I could never fathom wearing their clothes in public. But I surprisingly would wear this whole outfit. Possibly to a tea party. Well, except that cuhrazy black ribbon in her hair. That's just too much.

The Power of Three

Yesterday while I was sitting at the front desk of my residence hall, (don't worry I wasn't creeping, I work there) and a student/resident came up to me and said that there was a trashcan/ash tray on fire/smouldering (there a lot of slashes in this sentence). I wasn't that concerned (sadly, but I mean it wasn't full fledge on fire). Then two other students came to me, each with an increased sense of urgency, so I finally called Public Safety and reported it. To my credit, P Safe said they had it in view on their camera but they couldn't do any thing at the moment and then they suggested I go out there with a jug of water because that's all they were gonna do anyway.
Why did I tell you a story where there was a fire? Because the power of three! (Hence the title!) Once three students had come to me, I get the motivation to act, just like with my birthday list. First I got a request from one aunt, and then another aunt, AND THEN my grandma, for a birthday wish list. Mama says it is rude to send these out, but when I moved two states away they became kind of imperative. So here goes...

First and foremost (besides cash, let's be honest, because I am a broke college student) on the list is Costco cash cards, because I am saving up for a Canon Rebel. This is a picture of the one I would love to get, but there are all sorts of makes and models that would do just fine (same megapixels but minus the extra lens, or the same combo but more megapixels etc.) for more or less money. I would like a profesh camera, and I have all sorts of plans and crazy schemes for the photo shoots I'd do, and the pictures I'd take during Christmas in California. Plus every weekend I pass the 15 megapixel version of this combination (camera and lens) and have heart palpitations. But the thing is I can only afford this with help, so therein lies the gift cards.

Next on my list is iTunes cards because I have a list of about 30 songs that I want to buy on iTunes, but I shudder at buying them all so gift cards are a good solution.

And other then these two things, I also love the following stores/places (or they are close to school and practical like Bartells and my school book store):
Bartells
SU
Forever 21
Target
Nordstrom
American Eagle (I need new jeans!)

Lastly, in general I like jewelry, books, and handmade things! And I also need more huggable hangers. For reals.

But I would just like to reiterate, like my friend Lisa says, that I am grateful for anything and will just take what I can get. I'm just putting this out there because so many people have asked so it's just in popular demand.

And whoever reads this (family in particular) can pass this on to non-reading members, that'd be great.

You got cha hair done and your nails done too...

Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Fast Dry Nail Polish, Buy Here
Let's face it in these hard times, who can afford a manicure? I know I sure can't. I pass women with acrylics on the street and wistfully stare at them and think back to the days when I could afford to have a every-other-week manicure, back when I was a teen in high school and could frivolously spend like that without a care in the world! Now I'm less than a month from being a teen forever and honestly could not tell you the last time I had a manicure, I think it was in the summer.
I had to come up with some temporary solution, because my nails look pretty janky when I don't paint them because then I tend to bite them. But whenever I do my own nails, it tends to look like someone had a seizure while simultaneously painting my nails.
Then I found this nail polish! It's the answer to all my nail painting problems! It has this super wide and flat brush that allows you to paint your nails in one stroke, and even your left hand is easy to paint (if you are right handed, switch it around if you are left handed).
They have a surprising range of cute colors. I have Jumpin' Jade (my fave, it's like a metallic hunter green), Blue Streak (this pretty light metallic blue), Pronto Purple (dark metallic purple), Blazin' Blue (dark dark blue), and Rushing Ruby (lovely fuschia metallic pink).
