Once upon a time I received an email...

From Kate Spade (yes, I am sure it was the woman herself). It was announcing the arrival of Kate Spade Belles. Their wedding line! I love Kate Spade. I love weddings. I LOVE the combo even more.
Kate Spade Clarice Heels, $298
Unfortunately for Kate, all the dresses were not that great. Well, they were fine, but not the aesthetic I am looking for at my own wedding. Short, and sleeveless, and ruffly. Not the point. The shoes were gorgeous. A lot of blue ones, to fit in that adage of something old something new, well you know the rest. Also a lot of sparkly ones! The above shoes were my favorite, gotta love that sparkle heel!

Kate Spade Lemon Drop Small Framed Lella, $225
A few weeks ago, I was watching Teen Mom 2, and one of the moms was getting hitched (at a place called Coon Skin Park, I kid you not. They're getting a divorce now. Shocker). She was texting someone before the weddin' (everyone has an accent on that show), and I started to panic. "Where am I going to put my phone during my wedding ceremony?" I texted Abeni, and her response was "Wellll, hopefully you marry someone you love enough to put the phone down". Duh. I need counseling. ANYWAYS, this clutch is probably where I would put my phone. I love the pineapple clasp, a nod to the Pinas!
Kate Spade Pineapple Grove Studs, $75
However, I am not completely sold on the clutch. It may be a little gaudy. Not that gaudy won't be an inspiring word for my wedding. But perhaps a simpler expression of pineapples would be the earrings.
Kate Spade All Wrapped Up Bow Key Fob, $50
Bridesmaids gifts! I love 'em, er not that I have ever been one. I love gifts? Anyways, this would make a good Bridesmaid gift.

wish you were here small coal
Kate Spade Wish You Were Here Small Coal, $275

This is by far my favorite piece on the entire Kate Spade website. It is called Wish You Here because there is a vintage motel scene printed on the side. It reminds me of California and I love it. I could bring it on the honeymoon, or just have it now really.

Can you guess who this is about?

I love him and the way he...

I love him and the way he has spiky Asian hair,
But he insists that if his dad just let him grow it longer,
It would turn into a 'fro.

I love him and the way he worries about his appearance
How he is convinced his normal jeans make him look fat,
So he convinces his mom to buy him skinny jeans.

I love him and the way he gets scared so easily
That he still buries his ear in my armpit
Whenever a scary part comes on in a movie.

I love him and the way he can't seem to study for a science test,
But he will run back upstairs like he has forgotten something before leaving for
Ian's house, only to grab a notebook to improve on his DS playing.

I love him and the way he charms people
And he is so handsome without even trying
Even though I know that mischievous grin by now.

I love him and the way he he has a temper, so passionate,
And at the same time so emotional and volatile.
He can cry hot tears.

I love him and the way he is so loyal to his friends
Even though he says they matter more than we do,
Because at least he can stick up for something, even if it isn't always the right thing.

I love him and the way we are a family of Type As who control everything
And he is an off the wall orange personality who craves danger
That we will never pretend to understand.

I love him and the way he gets embarrassed by pet names,
But he will duck behind the aisle in Costco and stick his lips out for a kiss
Because he misses me.

I love him and the way he pretends like he doesn't care about me
Then cries when I leave to go back to Seattle.

Unforgettable Books

My classmate Joanna and I were really annoyed. For some reason we had been put in a certain Humanities Capstone instead of the other (which I am really disliking as it is because it does not come easily to me), thus exempting us from this other class we wanted to take with this other teacher, who is my all time favorite from SU, called Unforgettable Books. So being the genius' we are, we decided to just copy the book list and read them ourselves on our own time.

The list is as follows:

The Old Man and the Sea Hemingway
Zorba the Greek Kazantzkis
Death in the Family Agee
Gilgamesh Mason
Cry the Beloved Country Patton
Heart of Darkness Conrad

I tried starting Old Man and the Sea but it was a little slow and then school started so I haven't finished it. But I plan on accomplishing this list!

What books do you think he left out?
